We ended up here after the Gypsy Cab Co. was hosting a private event. It was 8:30pm, so we asked the gentleman if it was too late to dine. In classic Italian style, he asked me if I was hungry; I nodded, and he said “if you’re hungry, you’re in the right place.” My wife to be and I split the Antipasti and a Chicken Marsala. Neither of us eats much, so, after stuffing ourselves, we still have a full meal of leftovers. The Prosciutto, Salamis and cheeses in the Antipasti appetizer, selected by the chef, were some of the best we’ve ever had. The Chicken Marsala was even better. We both grew up on farms, and remember how chicken tasted when they were raised in the front yard...this chicken tasted exactly like the chicken we ate as kids. It is the best chicken I’ve ever been served, away from home. We don’t write reviews often, but Sogno, the chef, the staff, everyone and everything was so good, we had to write one. We loved the atmosphere; it is an extremely authentic, old world, Italian vibe. I could go on and on...it was that good! The prices are infinitely reasonable, once you taste the food and see the portions. The service was excellent. Simply an outstanding dining experience. Thank you!

We love to sit at the bar. Great way to meet people. I was stating to my husband how bad the service was the previous evening at another restaurant. Seated next to us, the owners of Sogno. They invited us to their restaurant the next evening. The food, service and atmosphere were amazing. Excellent wine list. The Tuscan Roasted Chicken Soup - so good! You'll love it.

Really great dinner tonight! Unlike a previous reviewer, who complained about service taking long (??), we actually appreciated the timing of service. In fact, we both commented how nice the pacing was. This is not the kind of restaurant you go to in a rush or to eat and run. We never felt rushed and we definitely felt our business was appreciated. Every dish is prepared to order. And there were no lengthy lags, either- it was just right. We were seated right away, greeted by multiple employees, drinks brought, orders taken, and each course well timed. It's a place to savor the food and the conversation over a nice meal. Our server, Joe, was excellent! Food was fresh and delicious. We started with drinks, then bread, then shared the prosciutto & melon salad (tasted just like one I had in Italy!), followed by our entrees and then dessert. Atmosphere was nice, music was just right (lightly playing in background), easy to converse during dinner. They are also very accommodating if you would like to alter a dish, which my hubby did. Very pleasant experience start to finish. Menu, with prices, is online, so no surprises. They also gladly take reservations and have nightly specials. Highly recommend for a nice dinner out. Best place on Anastasia Island! We are locals and will be back!

We've been here several times before but last night was especially good. Our group of four all ordered the watermelon salad that had feta cheese which very tasty. My wife had an outstanding Eggplant Parmesan, a dish that she frequently orders but this was the best that she had in years. Two of us had a special that was on the menu, a Seafood Lasagna with three types of seafood and a super rich white sauce, and topped with two perfectly cooked shrimp. Every morsel and drop was consumed. One of us at the shrimp scampi that also had the same, perfectly cooked shrimp. For dessert we shared a lemoncello cake, also very good. We will be back.....and soon

We dined at Sogno last night. Our party of 6 was so happy with our entire experience. The restaurant is lovely and inviting. They had two salad specials, both were delicious. Great wine selection and apps too. Danny was our server and he was excellent, very knowledgeable and attentive. We had a variety of entrees - chicken parm, eggplant parm, shrimp scampi, bolognese and cod with risoto. Everyone really enjoyed their entrees. Sorry, we forgot to take pics, but the presentation was really nice, with beautiful oval bowls for the pasta dishes. Overall, it's a great place for dinner, but also for wine/drinks and apps at their beautiful bar. They really pay attention to the details and it shows. What a lovely evening!

One of the most amazing eating experiences we have had in St Augustine! Ask for Donna to be your server. She gives amazing recommendations and fantastic service. The wine is from Italy and they also have more bar options. We started with the grilled octopus salad with white beans and olives and wedge that were some of the best salads full of light and fresh vegetables. We had the flavorful homemade lobster ravioli that was in a sage brown butter sauce and the Branzino with polenta cake. I loved that the fish was fresh and filleted without bones. Finished it off with homemade lemon cello cake. We will be back. My wife said tomorrow but maybe at least next week :)

Going up to Saint Augustine to watch the Christmas lights and being in traffic without any parking in sight for almost 2 hours. We decided to go to this restaurant over the bridge. The best authentic Italian restaurant ever that I have been to. Their noodles for what they called pappardelle are definitely homemade and the best I ever had. We had two appetizers, and then we had the Osso Buco dinner. The service was excellent, full bar. Excellent wine list. This is definitely my favorite Italian restaurant of all times. The place is also elegantly decorated by the owner’s wife how beautiful this whole place was the atmosphere is exquisite.

I decided to go to sogno because of the reviews and being close to the Amphitheater, I had my doubts as I have not had great experience with so called Italian restaurants around jacksonville and St. Augustine area, but boy was I wrong. The restaurant was really cute with and Italian feel to it. Were greeted at the door by the host and we were seated immediately. Dardan was our waiter, he was really knowledgeable about the menu and recommended his favorites. We ordered Calamari which were ok, but the prawns in garlic sauce were to die for, the octopus dish was great too. Great selection of wine red and white without breaking your bank. We got a white Italian wine Lugana and it did not disappoint. The main dish it was on another level, linguini with clams, the clams were delicious and the pasta al dente, in the seafood broth, devine. My husband got the Cioppini seafood and did not disappointed also. Really impressed by this restaurant. I would like to thank the staff for accommodating our friends too even though they were busy and they did not have a reservation. Thank you again Dardan and we will come back and see you.
